The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) provides many exciting opportunities to take part in challenging activities within a military environment, such as camp craft, first aid, shooting, blank firing exercises, flying, adventurous training (such as canoeing, rock climbing and abseiling) and sports. The CCF gives you the chance to have experiences not found in civilian life. The school has an army section cap badged to the Irish Guards and a Royal Air Force section. Each section follows their own training program with specialist topics; however, they all include aspects of foot drill, skill at arms and navigation.

Weekly parade is on a Friday within school, where cadets carry out their syllabus training. In addition to weekly training, there will also be field days, camp weekends and annual camp with cadets from other CCF contingents. Our Contingent currently has over 130 cadets and 10 staff (most of whom are alumni). The alumni community is active with annual meetings and many former cadets helping with parade nights or on camp, as permanent staff or as guests; this continued attachment to the unit is something we pride ourselves on.
