We are delighted to welcome two distinguished speakers to The Arts Centre Theatre: Matthew Harvey Sanders, author of Staying Human: AI, the Future of Work, and Christian Discernment, and Professor Jacob Phillips, Professor of Systematic Theology at St Mary’s University.
Together, they will consider the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, the skills young people will need to thrive in a rapidly changing world, and the enduring importance of human judgement, creativity and character. Their presentations will be followed by an on-stage discussion and questions from the audience.
Following the discussion, guests are invited to the Sixth Form Common Room for informal career conversations with parent professionals working across technology, law, medicine, media and other sectors. This will offer pupils a valuable opportunity to discover how AI is already changing different professions and to seek first-hand advice about their future studies and careers.
The event is free to attend.
